Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation ---- Spy Action Thriller Genre !!

Decent Plot ( 1960s la vantha MGR film type story) with good entertaining engaging screenplay which doesn't bore you for 2 hrs and 10 mins - gives Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation !!

For that the main reason is Tom Cruise. His live actions makes it so believable and interesting. If the actions scenes have not come out well it would have been a disaster. So the creative and stunt team achieved 100 % what they wanted so the average film looks too good !!

Rebecca Ferguson another biggest plus for the film. Her action scenes has come out really well. Kudos for her effect !!

Music could have been better and inspiring. But amazing cinematography with that action scenes. Perfection to the core.

Rating - 3.5/5 !! Worth a watch for action movie lovers !! If you hate Tom Cruise also, you would like this movie !!

Orange Mittai -- Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction - - - > A very simple short film plot with a slow and smooth screenplay which entirely depends upon the performance from the characters in trying to make it interesting and entertaining !!

Piku is a hindi film which released few months back which had a similar base or theme. I don't know maybe that's the reason why I was not that much involved in this film eventhough the performance of Vijay Sethupathy , Arumugam and Ramesh Thilak was good !!

Everything seems to be perfect but at the end you will feel something is missing or not satisfied!! Maybe tried hard to have that feel good factor Or Maybe if I had not watched Piku, I would have enjoyed more !!

Casting and Acting ---> Perfect !! Everybody did their job well !!

Cinematography and Editing ----> Top class from Biju Vishwanath !! Slightly 1970s film type flow and Editing !! ( Balu  Mahendra style )

Music and BGM ---> Above Average !!

Rating -- 3/5 !! Decent entertaining film !! 

Idhu Enna Maayam -- Movie Review

Idhu enna Maayam  --- Romantic Comedy Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, dialogue and direction --- > Romantic comedy la screenplay than important but here Director AL Vijay athu koda ethuvum pudusa pannala !! Shahjahan story eduthu light ah tinkering patti patha Idhu enna Maayam !!

Biggest draw back is the emotional connect !! That too in a romance movie athu illa naa complete out !! Here Vikram Prabhu looks odd and old for such romantic roles !! So romance feel oda kaduppu feel than vanthuchu !!

Casting and Acting --- As I said before Vikram Prabhu is miscast !!

Keerthi Suresh looks lovely and homely :) And her smiles and eyes biggest plus ...!! But acting need to improve !!

RJ Balaji comedy Ellam full out of sync ...complete sothappal and mokka !!

But need to give credit for AL Vijay ..Yeppadi than Intha side female characters Ellam pidikuran nu theriyala ...Ellam heroine Mathiri semaiya irrukanga!! Not only in this movie ..I m noticing all in his previous movies too !! Kandipaga oru rasigan AL Vijay !! :)

Cinematography and Editing --- Nirav Shah is the biggest plus and pillar of the film !! His certain angles and shots ellam vera level...Especially the scene between Nasser and Vikram Prabhu near the climax ..Superb thinking and execution !!

Editing once again nothing can be done with very averagely written clichéd film !!

Music and BGM ---> Songs nothing were catchy or new !! BGM Ellam madraspattinam dheiva thirumagal nu athae tune !! Nalla irruku but it's boring !! Summa Violin ah vaichukitu Evalavu padatha ooturathu !!

Rating -- 1.5/5 !! Love and Romance than my life ...athu yentha Kandravi ah irrunthalum paapan means poi pakkalam ...illati better skip it and watch Aalaipaythey or some other good romance movies !!

P.S --- In case you watch the film, look out for Hockey game scene in first half !! That thinking needs a special mention !!

Maari -- Movie Review (Tamil)

Maari ---- Commercial film genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> Since its commercial film genre I didn't expect story and all but screenplay must be something new to keep us guessing that is where I think Director Balaji Mohan missed the trick !!

His first 2 films were hit and both it had his own innovations to the script which looked fresh.Here in Maari his idea on taking a commercial film based on characterisation and hero screen presence is okay (Dialogues were good) but antha characters and mass elements ellam pudusa onnum illa which we have already seen in lot of movies !!

Commercial film plus some innovative thinking (which is director's strength) if both were mixed well we would have got Balaji Mohan 's clean hatrick !!  But here he misses it by a mile !!

Casting and Acting ----> Superb casting apart from Vijay Yesudas because he looks completely out of place with his emoting skills and Acting !!

Robo Shankar is the biggest plus and pillar of the film :) his timing, acting and situational comedy throughout the film makes us entertaining  !!

For Dhanush this and all easy role so pinni pedal eduthachu :) his combo with Robo Shankar and other guy was sema !!

Kajal Agarwal did her job well !! She was superb in all costumes ;) ;)

Music and BGM -----> 2 Songs were good but BGM full theri from Anirudh !! :)

Cinematography and Editing ----> One shot which I liked is fight scene in second half immediately after interval . That was new. Remaining were okay !!

When the script is weak and nothing new.. editing ellam onnum solla mudiyathu !!

Rating --- 2.75/5 !! A plain old commercial film which falls in sumar or average or even maybe above average category because of Robo Shankar, Dhanush and Anirudh's  BGM !!

Hopes Balaji Mohan comes back with bang in his next one !! 

Bajirangi Bhaijaan --- Movie Review (Hindi)

Bajirangi Bhaijaan ----> Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> Good story with a neat screenplay and some super cool performance makes a suprisingly completely different Salman Khan film which we have not seen for last few years !!

Kudos to Director Kabir Khan for breaking the montony of Salman Khan clichés !! Biggest positive for the movie is the emotional connect in the film, comedy and the performances gelled well so the whole film looks natural !!

Thanks to Salman Khan for not forcing the Director to add any commerical elements for his fans !! I can't remember watching a Salman Khan film for a very long time without any real action scenes !! ( only one very small action segment for a minute in entire film ):) :)

Casting and Acting ----> Salman Khan gets good scope for acting in this movie and shows us again that he is a terrific performer with his timing and emotions !! The scenes between him and the little girl was in complete sync and realistic without overdoing it :)

Little Girl as Shahida steals the show with her cute acting which was natural !! Neither it be emotional scenes or a comedy scenes she just pulls it out easily without any hiccups !! :)

As usual Nawazuddin Siddiqui different level acting !! Doesn't know how he is getting transformed easily into different characters and roles!! :) Dheiviga Level actor !!

Music and BGM ----> Only drawback is 5 or 6 songs in the film but nothing were boring or pulling the movie down ...Pritam strikes again with some good BGMs :) :)

Cinematography and Editing ----> Cinematography was good ...but we have seen lot of these locations in Haider and Highway..so nothing new  !!

Editing was okay but could have cut short the climax potions a little bit which went over cinematic !!  ( Runtime : 160 mins)

Rating --- 3.5/5 !! Worth a watch !! A different and best Salman Khan film without any of his clichés !! Good family entertainer for Eid:) :)

Baahubali -- Movie Review !!

Baahubali ----> Period Action Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> Simple age old story than but the visual presentation especially in the second half was in different level !! :)

First Half to be honest was boring and not connecting with the story due to some poorly Written predictable screenplay especially the romance sequence with Tamanah scenes ( and also her remaining part ) were pathetic and amateurish  !!

The film somehow starts in the second half and gets engaging till the end with some brilliant visuals and good performance !!

Casting and Acting ----> Casting was good but the characterisation could have even more better !! Director spend entire first half for the building up of the characters. Apart from very few scenes remaining scenes ellam onnum perusa manasula nikkura mathiri illa !!

Technical Brilliance :

Be it a art direction especially the second half war fight or the VFX or the sound design or cinematography was all in Hollywood level to an extend !!

Second half towards the climax you would feel you were watching a Hollywood film !! Such was the impact !!

But my doubt is -- if you are spending 200 plus cr for the visuals konja time eduthu innavum nalla story develop panni  and with good characterisation oru padam pannalam la ??  Yen oru 1900s la irruntha vantha oru age old periodic story which even a small kid would know what is going to happen next !!

Illati same story koda okay but scenes pudusa edukalam la ....if you just rewind after watching the film apart from 3 to 4 scenes ethuvum pudusa onnum pannala ...!! (Some may feel it's just a MahaBharatham story )

Hollywood they spend on visuals and also on content to get it successful !!

Music and BGM -----> Was good but won't say it was inspiring !!

Rating -- 3/5 !! Worth a watch for its technical brilliance !! Other than that as an SS Rajamouli film it's disappointing one for me !!

Papanasam -- Movie Reveiw (Tamil)

NOTE : NO SPOILERS IN THIS REVIEW AND I HAVE WATCHED DRISHYAM BEFORE !!

#Papanasam ----> Family Drama + Thriller Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> Nothing much changed in screenplay just edited very few scenes from the original but the detailing part and some terrific performance plus BGM stands out in Papanasam !!

Remaking films are quite difficult. You need to have good casting and detailing to get that flavour correct to meet that particular audiences expectations. They have done a good research part about the story backdrop (Nellai) which should be somewhat similar to original version (Drishyam) to get that authenticity !!

Generally what I don't like about remakes is somewhere in film you get that feel it's doesn't belong here but in Papanasam you won't feel it even in a single place !! :) :)

Dialogues are brilliantly written and What I liked is the characterisation of the Protagonist here !! In Drishyam, Protagonist used to be more serious than fun but here more fun than serious !! Even in tense sequences, Kamal brings a smile with his terrific timing and dialogue delivery :)

Casting and Acting ----> Perfectly casted and all the characters gelled together !! And around 90 percent of the film they achieved the continuity with Nellai dialect but some characters were not able to bring it all the time !!

Kamal Haasan once again proves what a great actor he is !! Be it the Nellai dialect or the innocent portrayal of Suyumbu Lingam you can't find fault even using microscope !! Perfectionist to the core :) :)

Once you watch the original film whoever acts in a remake film it will be difficult to replace that Original film actor (especially the Protagonist ) but here Kamal Haasan completely portrays different level of acting and skills to stay it memorable :) :)

The chemistry between Kamal and Gauthami was good !!  Kalabavan Mani, M.S Bhaskar,  Illavarasu, Asha Sarath were the standout Performers !! :)

Music and BGM ----> 2 good songs with neat visuals which doesn't disturb the script and BGM as usual Ghibran was in different league !! :)

Cinematography , Art Direction and Editing -----> Not much different from Drishyam ...!! Mostly looked same ...!!

Rating --- 4.5/5 !! Realistic rare good cinema :)

Must Watch even if you have watched Drishyam !!  The reason is Suyumbu Lingam portrayal of Kamal Haasan !! :) :)
