Avengers - Age Of Ultron --- Movie Review ( English)

Avengers - Age of Ultron ---> Commercial Action Fantasy Superhero movie :)

Story, Screenplay and Direction ---> Good nice plot ( may have little resemblance of Enthiran ) with well coated action and comedy :)

In the first part (The Avengers ) what I felt was initially there was lot of dialogues with less action since they want establish the story !!

But here in second part ( The Avengers - Age of Ultron ) the plot is very small, so we got lot of action segments  and comedy which as a fan was very pleasing and enjoyable :) :)

As usual , Tony Stark and Thor steals the show with their casual acting and with their comical timing !!

BGM and Technical Aspects --- > Nice BGM :) Brilliant visuals effects which looks original and top notch editing !!

Rating -- 4/5 !! Must watch !! Entertainment Guarteneed for 2.5 hrs !!

P.S -- Personally I  liked second part more than first part !! :)

Kanchana 2 --- Movie Review (Tamil)

Kanchana 2 ---- > Comedy Horror Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> Same Muni and Kanchana story and screenplay template since its a sequel it is accepted.... but the problem is both the comedy and horror part has nothing new and itseems repetitive !!

Darling which was released few months back had the same dropback...and the flashback or the motive which is very important for any ghost film was very weak here !!

Muni and Kanchana both had good flashback sequence which elevated the film to different level...here it was pretty average and boring !!

At the end credits, the team was mentioning about Muni 4....but it need to have good storyline and somewhat different comedy illati romba kastam of extending Muni sequel !!

Casting and Acting ----> Raghava Lawrence as usual did his job really well...His timing for comedy was good....Taapsee was ordinary with her acting but glamour in the song Vaaya Vera was pretty high !!
Kovai Sarala was in her element but the scope in the comedy was old and less !!

Songs, BGM, Cinematography, VFX and Editing ----> Ordinary !!

Rating -- 2.25/5 !! Better watch Muni and Kanchana again !!

The Man from Earth --- Movie Review ( English)

The Man From Earth ----> Suspense Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> Interesting Suspense filled start ends in rather unexpected way with simple dialogues !!

Full Kudos to the Script Writer ....I have never seen a simple idealistic approach without forcing or convincing anything  to anybody ....Easy and free flowing screenplay with run time of just 87 mins !!

At the end of the 87th minute you will crave for more of it and will make you think for some long time about the life which we are living seriously :)

Casting and Acting ----> Unknown cast mostly ...but everybody did their job well :)

Cinematography -----> He had only one scope to play with  ( you known when you watch the movie) ...and he utilized it perfectly...that is camera angles and shots !!

BGM --- > Silent and Mild :)

Rating ----????? Some movies cant be rated...just watch, enjoy and think :) :) 

Ok Kanmani --- Movie Review (Tamil)

Ok Kanmani ---> Romance Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> A fresh concept but straightforward known screenplay and dialogues with typical Mani Ratnam touches makes Okay Kanmani !!

To be honest ....I was disappointed with the story and screenplay part of the movie ...!!

First half I liked it ...but second half was very average because story onnum illa to move forward !! So it got stagnant !!

But what makes it okay or good film is the standout performance of Nithya Menon, Dulquer Salman and Leela Samson ( Bhavani ) !!

Casting and Acting ----> Nithya Menon just steals the show with her expressions, on screen presence and dialogue delivery.....Dulquer Salman also not far behind  ....Leela Samson was apt for the character :)

Technical Brillance :

PC Sreeram with his camera angles and lightning with neat editing, ARR with his BGM and songs and Wonderful Art Direction plus the performance of the actors just elevates the film to next level :)

Rating -- 3.25/5 !! Yeah Mani Ratnam is back but not fully....Surely Worth a watch for some terrific performance from Lead actors and for its technical brilliance !!

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! --- Movie Review (Hindi)

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy -----> Investigative Thriller Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> Simple, Straightforward thriller story with a neat screenplay and wonderful detailing of the events (1943 Calcutta ) is such a pleasure to watch on screen :) :)

Director Dibakar Banerjee is such a master technician and perfectionist just take us back to 1943 ( with just the film mood and with his detailing )

 Lot of people will feel his movies are slow ....but that his nature of work in all his previous movies too...he takes time in getting the film going and that what I like the most because he makes us travel through the film and he surprises you in the end !!

Without any romance scenes or comedy or songs or even a fight to take a detective Bollywood film need guts !! Bows to the director for the wonderful execution !!

Casting and Acting -----> Sushant Singh Rajput  as Young Detective and Dr. Guha steals the show with their natural acting !! Just the final 30 mins of the film, it was in different level :)

Art Direction -----> Hats off to the Art director ....Perfect to the core with the detailing :) :)

Cinematography ----> First title song of the film and the last 30 mins of the climax portion is just an example of some high quality cinematography you can ever see !!

Detailing was there  but to capture it and show us all in a frame perfectly need a good cinematographer ( Nikos Andritsakis) !! 

Editing -----> Neatly cut and packed one ...No unnecessary single scenes for commercial compromise you can see in whole movie !!

BGM -----> Another Major Backbone of the movie ....Wonderful mixture of silence and good BGM :) :)

Rating -- 4.25 /5 !! A classic :)  Must Watch in Theatre for its technical brilliance and  for its filmmaking!! A movie for all !! 

If you are the fan of good investigative films, don't miss it or it would be sin !!

Nannbenda -- Movie Review (Tamil)

Nannbenda ----> Ishtakku eduthu irruku genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ------> Director Rajesh oda Assistant than intha padathuku director nu sollum bothae konja yosichi irrukannum....I thought other way Director SAC (SA Chandrasekar - Actor Vijay's Dad) oda asst than Director Shankar...so antha point vaichu decide panna kodathu nu poi pathan !!

As usual Story illa and also i never expected story irrukum nu so it was okay for me....Screenplay naa yenna nu nambata kettu irrukanga ....Romance ellam chinna kulanthai patha koda sirikum antha mathiri romance scenes......intha comedy ku shooting spot avanga team ah sirichu nalla irruku nu ethi vittu irrukanga pola and add to that pathetic performance from hero ...ithu mathiri avanga isthatukku eduthu vaichi irrukathu than Nannben da padam !!

After watching this mokka padam (especially the flashback portion ) koda paravala nu ...Anjaan...All in all Azhagu Raja...Valliyavan ellam koda second time pakkalam thoonthum...thats the effect !!

Director oda creativity and thollai nokku parvai is vera level !!

Music and BGM ------>Director yenna neenga mattum than same pattern copy adipingala ah??.....Naanu adichitu katturan nu....avaroda songs and ARR songs nu copy adichu enjoy panni irrukaru !! Scope also very less for BGM !!

Rating --- 1/5 !! For Nayanthara and Sherin .....Money make many things....Example is Nannbenda film !!

Komban -- Movie Review ( Tamil )

Komban --- Raw Action + Drama film genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> Good Concept (relationship between Son-in-law and Father-in-law) but the screenplay is very average and commercial...!!

Raw flavour and emotional connect ellam irrukum but over buildup for the hero athan namba mudiyatha so that commercial feel vanthuruthu !!

Dialogues were good ... but the climax ellam sema comedy !! Due to average screenplay...we will have a fell etho vijay and Sun TV serial pakkura mathiri effect for 2.5 hrs !!

Casting and Acting -----> Perfect casting for the movie...Karthi just showcases his acting skills ....Lakshmi Menon as usual did her job well as village girl....!!

Rajkiran periya role illa...but gives his best for whatever scope he had !!

Villian were the big letdown ...bayamae illa....!!

Cinematography, Stunts and editing -----> Good but not Velraj's best....Mariyan Dhanush action use panna angle ellam appadiyae use panni irrukanga for Karthi action scene !! Could have tried soemthing different !!

Stunts ellam vera illa....football, basketball ,hockey and throw ball was included...instead of ball it was human body !! Karthi ah olympics annupa vendiya nerum vanthuruchu !!

Editing ----> Nothing can be done with this story and screenplay !! Editor ah onnum solla mudiyathy !!

Music and BGM -----> Songs were hit nenaikaran ...all were whistling for most songs....BGM was above average !!

Rating -- 2.5/5 !! Komban konja kadi than ...Average movie ....More time having ?? Then Watch in theatre !!

Oh Kadal Kanmani .....Ok Kanmani Music Review :) :)

Ok Kanmani (Music) -----> Its an uncharacteristic AR Rahman Album to be honest !!

Generally ARR album takes time to get into you.....but this one is different ....most of the songs in the album ( 8 songs plus one theme ) gets into you easily when you hear it first time and also into the repeat mode section :) :)

This album has lot of genres and lot of fusions with less experimentation ....last 2 years ARR album had lot of experimentation songs and albums but this is one is just like Old ARR + Mani Ratnam combo which gives instant hits with just first hearing :) :)

Major Highlights of the Album  :

Shashaa Tirupati just impressed me with her rendition in Naane varugiren song :) :) 

Chitra wonderful carnatic rendition for ARR after long time :)
