Premam -----> Romance Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogues and Direction -----> Lot of romance films come and go but only few romance films are universally accepted and it will stay in our hearts. Premam is one such authentic beautiful romance film which would be loved by all and by the time end credit rolls you would crave for more.

Premam is just the normal story which most of us would have experienced in our school or college life and what standouts was the brilliant screenplay and dialogues with some outstanding real to life situations. At no point in story you would feel it was artificial (Maybe one instance where I was not convinced fully was the reception scene between Rony and Celine). Without any physical contact or cheesy romance dialogues, seeing a romance film is rare. Kudos to the Director ( Alphonse Putharen) for not going for it!

Only Drawback I felt was konja influence of Autograph and Attakathi was there. But other than that, film making style and creativity ellam vera level.

Casting and Acting ---> Nivin Pauly is lucky guy to have some terrific BGM for him (Om Shanti Oshana and now in Premam ). In college get up ellam theri mass. He was in his element with natural Acting and characterization.

Anupama, Sai Pallavi and Madonna all have good screen spaces and all of them did their job well. All three were beautiful J J

One standout character for me was Vimal (Lecturer in College). His characterization was top notch!!

Cinematography and Editing ----> Visual Treat J  Lighting, angles and camera shots were the major highlights. Lot of awesome visuals were there athula I loved that Red Velvet Cake eating scene by Madonna, College Introduction scene of Nivin Pauly and Malare song.

Editing also by Alphone Putharen. Some brilliant cuts and continuity flow (Ex: lookout for the climax scene) and in Neram itself he showed us all his capabilities in Editing and he continues here too!!

Music and BGM ---> One of the best Albums I have heard. Instant, Catchy ,mesmerizing tunes and rendition. Rajesh Murugasen went to vera level with BGM !!

Rating – 4/5 !! Must Watch for all !! After a long time , an Authentic Romance film with brilliant film-making J J

P.S ---- For some, it may make way to fall in love again !! ;) 

Indru Netru Naalai Movie Review

Indru Netru Naalai --- Sci-Fiction Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction --> Nice thought with a very intelligent screenplay laced with good comedy makes its a memorable watch :)

Time travel is a difficult concept to make all people understand !! But here the director tried to explain it in a  simple way to make most people understand !! And he has succeeded emphatically :)

So many positives - No commerical clichés, good characterisation , some good dialogues with situational comedy,  realistic climax and a superb CG work ( afterall its a low budget film) :)

Casting and Acting ----> Vishnu Vishal is an intelligent actor with his script selection!!  Mature acting and his natural emotions are vera level :) one of the underrated actors in Kollywood !!

Karunakaran strikes again with his comedy timing and everything looks natural ....in no place in the film I found a forced comedy scene which is rarity these days !!

Remaining characters were perfectly casted and acted !!

Cinematography and CG ---> Nice camera work but brilliant CG works and also superb editing !!

Music and BGM ---- > 2 montage songs ..padatha disturb pannala and also boring ah illa ...BGM was above average !!

Rating ----> 3.75 /5 !! Must Watch for the brilliant execution of Time Travel concept in a Tamil film and need to be encouraged :) :)

Yagavarayinum Naa Kakka

Yagavarayinum Naa Kakka ---> commerical thriller genre!

Story, screenplay, dialogue and direction ---> A good story backdrop with neat screenplay which is simple and straight forward (Genrally thriller genre means they overdo present and past a bit and sometimes it ends in confused state ) and added with some commercial clichés!!

What I liked the most is the way in which they handled the commercial clichés ... especially the romantic part between Adhi and Nikki Galrani !! It was nice, entering and engaging !!

The filmmaking part is very brilliant .. but what I felt after watching the film is  something is missing ...maybe the cohesiveness  or the emotional connect !! If the emotional connect part would have worked even more...it would have been even more engaging and realistic !! 

Casting and Acting ----> Good selection of actors for all roles ...Mithun Chakravathy screen presence elevates the film :)

Cinematography ---> There are few places in film where the visuals would be dictating what is happening in that particular scene ( especially during the pre climax scene )!! Kudos to the director and cinematographer for the creative part of it :)

Music and BGM ---> 4 songs and 1 montage song ...easily 3 songs could have been avoided ..!! BGM was good !!

Rating --- 3/5 !! Worth a watch !! A good  commerical engaging thriller !! :)

Romeo Juliet --- Movie review (Tamil)

Romeo Juliet ---> Romance Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> The thought process of the story is okay . Director (Lakshman) tried to portray the modern day romance story but the execution level was pretty amateurish !!

What I guessed after watching the film is that the Director wants to do a realistic romance movie with emotions . I always believed Romance movies should have strong emotions and connection with the audience and they should get the fell within few scenes once the film starts.

But here emotions ellam onnum varala ....padam aarambichu 10 minutes la what is the runtime of the movie nu pakkunum pola irrunthuchu !! After 30 mins, ithunga rendu senthu yenna serati yenna nu mathiri thoonchu....!! Because antha aalavuku poor and predictable writing !!

Ithu illama Hansika oda cuteness overloaded torture vera....!!

Casting and Acting ----> Padam full ah Jayam Ravi and Hansika than varuvangala...Director thought this is romance film so hero and heroine mattum than padam full ah varanum decided pola !! Remaining characters ellam special appearance than...apa apa 2 to 3 scenes varuvanga ..!!

Comedian yarachum pottu even if it is mokka comedy irrunthu koda timepass panni sirichu irrukalam...athuvum illa...!!

Music and BGM -----> Songs were good ...BGM was also okay ....maybe padam nalla irrunthu irruntha antha feeling vanthu irrukalam !!

Rating -- 2/5 !!  If you are die hard romance film fan...eppadi irrunthavum pappan means poi pakkalam...illati free !!

Hero thanni adichitu thitura scene and Cuteness from heroine ...Kindly reduce it....Sathyama gandu aayiruthu antha scenes ah pakkum bothu !! 

Innimey Ippadithaan -- Movie Review (Tamil)

Innimey Ippadithaan ----> Comedy Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> Kaala Kaalama vara story than with a single hero and double Heroines !! Screenplay had some nice flow throughout without much  boring and what I liked is generally the films in which he acted as hero -  padam full ah comedy irrukum !!

Here they tried to concentrate on the script so ethir patha aalavuku full length comedy illa but it was entertaining !!

I think the basic thought of the creative  team was to make a serious film. Because Santhanam does romance, dance and action seriously without any kalais...!!

He tried his best in above all departments but yenna than pannalam namakku sirippu than varuthu ..etho spoof film mathiri feel aayirichu !!

Serious film ah illa oru comedy film ah nu kadasi varaikum theiryala but it was an entertaining timepass film !! ( doubt was because of the climax)

Casting and Acting ----> Santhanam wants to enter commercial hero league pola !! 5 songs ..action ...romance nu tried hard !! But the truth is onnum set and velaiku agala !!

Thambi Ramiah did his job well !! Remaining characters ku ellam scope were less and also the screen space !!

Music and BGM ----> Decent debut from Santhosh Dhayanidhi !! Songs were catchy!!

Cinematography and Editing ----> Make up ah kamme panni irrukalam ....verum glossy ah irrunthuchu !!

Editing was neat for this film and runtime was perfect (130 mins) !!

Rating ---> 2.75/5 !! Jolly timepass movie !! If you like Santhanam, surely decent one time watch !!

P.S --- logic illa pudusa irrukanum appadi ellam nenaicha.... better don't go !!

Dil Dhadakne Do -- Movie Review (Hindi )

Dil Dhadakne Do  ---> Family Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay and Direction ---> Simple story with a typical Bollywood style screenplay which is quite lengthy but not boring !! The fun quotient is less when compared to ZNMD !!

And the biggest minus here is the story. Since its monotonous, we know the direction where the film is heading !!

But Director Zoya Akthar tried to compensate with some engaging scenes !!

Casting and Acting ----> Biggest plus of the film :) Even though it's a star studded one , within few minutes of the film we travel with the characters of the film !! just lived the characters !!

Ranveer Singh and Priyanka Chopra especially steals the show with their natural acting :)

Technical Brilliance :

Technically brilliantly made film ...!! Since most of the film is happening in cruise the cinematography tried not to be monotonous with the shots and angle !!

Editing could have been much sharper ( Runtime is 170 mins ) but apart from the flow of the film is beautiful !!

Music and BGM ----> only 3 montage songs !! Got surprised to see less songs in such a big film !! But all the three songs were catchy and BGM as usual Shankar Ehsaan Roy rocked :)

Rating -- 3.25/5 !! Worth a watch if you love typical Bollywood style 'A' centred movies !!

Kaakka Muttai -- Movie Review (Tamil)

Kaakka Muttai ----> Feel good cinema Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> Very good Portrayal of an Indian Society without being preachy or giving social economic advise or finding faults with our system !!

Just a good film which just showcases different persons mentality without forcing which is right or wrong :) :) That is the unique quality which I liked the most in the film!! 

With some causal, witty enjoyable dialogue and smooth screenplay without being cliched at any point proves that there are some very good original filmmakers still there in Indian Cinema :) 

Casting and Acting ---> Perfectly casted film ... All the characters had scope in acting and all did their jobs well :) 

Already the Child actors (The Protagonists ) got national award for acting ...so athukku apparam naa atha pathi pesurathu onnum illa :)

Cinematography and Editing -----> Here the Cinematography was just another character in the film :) :) Appadiyae script ula sila scenes with some visuals la solliruvanga (i.e.., watch out for the scene where the pizza pamphlet going into the drainage ) Since Direction and Cinematography was done by ManiKandan we could feel his efforts :) 

Editing flow was topnotch...Kudos to the Director and Editor for their conviction in what they want :) :)

Music and BGM -----> There were 3 songs ...all are small montage songs which doesn't distract you even a microsecond :) GV usually oru BGM bit vaichu emotional factor kondu varu try pannuvaru...but here he underplayed with BGM which was the huge plus :)

Rating -- ????? Why to rate such a great authentic good cinema ?? Must Must Watch in theatre with all your family members  :) :)

Kaakka Muttai is a reality movie without huge emotions, without social-economic message, without being preachy but still makes you enjoyable and makes you think at the end :) :)
