Masss ----> Commercial film genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ---> As usual ella padathaliyum irrunthu edutha story ( collage of stories anf some scenes from Pissasu, Mankatha, Linga, Ayan, sivaji...ithu ellam yosikama takkunu yamagam vara films ) mixed mash up with a standard boring screenplay pattern gives you Masss engira maasilamani !!

First half was okay ...but once u know the twist it was boring to be honest !!

Emotional connect workout agala ...etho spoof movie mathiri effect aayirichu !! Even when the twist knots are broken ...emotions varala sirippu than vanthuchu !! That is the biggest drawback !!

Casting and Acting ---> Disappointed !! Athuvum with Suriya who usually does it well..!! His slang was not perfect ..when you watch the film you could feel it !!

Nayanthara --Scope less ...she was also below par !!

Premji was somewhat manageable when compared to Mankatha and Biriyani !!

Remaining characters perusa scope illa ...Villians and their backdrop were pathetic !!

Cinematography --->Some Angles and shots were brilliant ...but over glossy effect !! CG work pathi ellam onnum sollura mathiri illa....especially in first half it was kiddish !!

Editing ---> Neatly edited film ( with given story and screenplay) apart from the first 20 mins which was completely out of sync !!

Music and BGM ---> Anga anga in BGM and Songs Yuvan light ah yaetti patharu !!

Rating --- 2.5/5 !! Anjaan ku paravala...romba boring means one time Watchable !!

P.S -- Pudusa ethachum irrukum nu nenaichitu pakkalam nu irrunthu just remind yourself it's a Venkat Prabhu Film nu ;) ;)

Demonte Colony --- Horror Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction -----> Good story with neat screenplay and Direction by the debutant director Ajay !!

What I liked the most is the director was true and realistic to its genre and tried not to follow the repeative template of the horror movies which was something refreshing to see :)

Casting and Acting ---> Arulnithi need to be appreciated to be picking up good scripts and has done justice to the role !!
He has improved a lot from his first movie Vamsam :)

Supporting actors were less but did their job very well !! Kudos to director not infusing any comedy or romance tracks for the sake of it !!

No heroine or main female supporting actor in a horror movie need to be appreciated for the guts of the director :)

Cinematography and Editing ----> Brilliant work from Arvind Singh ...The angles, lighting and the shots were superb !! And also the VFX and Editing which was sharp (runtime of 115 mins) !!

Music and BGM ----> Konja BGM dunku dunku nu sound ah kamme panni irrukalam !! It was irritating that bit !!

Rating -- 3.5/5 !! MUST WATCH for authentic  horror movie lovers !!

Tanu Weds Manu Returns ---> Romantic Comedy Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ----> Nice story with a neat screenplay and some natural, delightful situational Dialogues which evokes laughter without being forced !!

What I liked the most is the message the director want to convey is clear which is told in the light hearted way and tried not to be dramatic !!

Casting and Acting ---> Kangana Ranuat gives us double delight with her natural acting and especially her North Indian Dialect is Vera level !!Entertainment Guarteneed !! ( I enjoyed it but I felt the native speakers would enjoy even more :) )

Madhavan - played a perfect second fiddle to Kangana !! Scope is less but he played his role perfectly !!

Pappi character was another major highlight apart from Kangana ...His mannerisms and Dialogue Delivery was tharu maru !!

Remaining all characters had their moments and once again proved if the casting is perfect it's already like half a win for the film !! :)

Music, Cinematography and Editing ---> Undisturbing songs so it didn't disturb the film that much ...Cinematography and Editing were decent . Since the run time is around 130 mins it keeps you entertaining for the most part of the film :)

Rating -- 3.5/5 !! Worth a watch film !! Kangana and Anand Rai Strikes again :)

Purampokku --- Movie Review (Tamil)

Purampokku ----> Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction :

Good thought process but the execution is very poor and Amateur !!

 And add to that the pathetic acting and casting of certain characters and some uninspiring dialogues makes it a Sick flick !!

The Director wants us to educate Communism and that where the problem starts. If you want to tell some philosophy or Principles, the root cause and the emotional connect of the story becomes very important.

The characterisation is sketched so poorly we couldn't relate it that much. Even Vijay Sethupathy couldn't give his 100 percent effort to this story because of the poor screenplay !!

There are lot of scenes which brings us unintentional Laugh !!
Ex : Thozhar, Lal Salam and Afghan guy speaking tamil and his explanation :D :D

Art Direction, Cinematography, Editing , Music and BGM :

One of the worst technically made film from a experienced Director !! Quality of the filmmaking looks very poor !!

Songs are in different mode and BGM ( By Srikanth Deva) ellam Mission Impossible tune and lot of hollywood movies nu ishatukku copy !!

Rating -- 1.75/5 !! Better to miss it.....unless you are die hard Communism fan !! LAL SALAM !!

Piku --- Movie Review (Hindi)

Piku ----> Family Comedy Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay and Direction ----> A wonderful relationship based simple story and well written feel good screenplay with some different extreme characterization which has been performed and pictured perfectly :) :)

Casting and Acting ------> Amitabh as Bhaskor steals the show with his immaculate acting as 70 years old !!

Amitabh Bachanan due to his strong presence and dialogue delivery, even though he acts well in his films, but in hindsight we have a feel there is Amitabh Bachanan on Screen tend to forgot his onscreen character!!

But here by the end of the film, We will remember him as Bhaskor and not as Amitabh :) :)

Deepika Padukone as usual shows why she is rated very high for her acting in last few years ..!!

Irrfan Khan again wins with his calmness and subtle acting and the scenes between him, Deepika and Amitabh is complete laugh riot in most places :) :)

Cinematography and Editing -----> Scope is less ( once you see the film why its less) but cinematographer ( Kamaljeet Negi) just setups with angles and lighting captures the expression of the actors perfectly :)

With runtime of 2 hrs, Editing is razor sharp and neat !!

BGM -----> Simple, Silence and Mild !!

Rating -- 4/5 !! Must watch !! Feel good film and easy and simple take on LIFE !!

Vai Raja Vai --- Commercial drama genre !!

Story, Screenplay and direction ---> Good Start but another amateurish screenplay especially in the second half makes it worse but still manageable due to the run time which is less than 2 hrs !!

Timepass aganum and Logic illama summa yenna scene pottalam pappan means surely watchable ..illati surely miss able film !!

Casting and Acting ---> Gautham Karthick nalla irrukan but emotions and his acting skills and all seriously pathetic !! Cute cute nu evalavu padam than solli oota mudiyum !!

Sathish and Vivek were saviour to an extend ..remaining characters ku scope were less and also the screen space !!

Cinematography and editing  ---> Average and editing ellam in most places pathetic without continuity !!

Lip sync ellam ishatakku irruku in second half ...Director second padam so surely  not acceptable !!

Music and BGM --> BGM ellam mass from Yuvan but scenes antha aalavuku mass ah onnum illa !!

Rating -- 2/5 !! Commercial film lovers who doesn't see logic poi pakkalam ..remaining better miss it , take rest, Eat and sleep well in home !!

Uttama Villain -- Movie Review ( Tamil)

Uttama Villain --- Drama Genre !!

Story, Screenplay, Dialogue and Direction ---> A good story but very averagely written screenplay makes it boring with 3 hrs runtime ..felt exhausted !!

There are 2 parts in story especially that second part la vara scenes and comedy ellam ukkara mudiyala with some overacting and poorly written comedy dialogues !!

Casting and Acting ---> Kamal was the biggest plus even though his acting in comedy scenes in that second part  I didn't like it !! It was bit overboard !! The Scenes between Kamal and His son in the second half is my favorite and best scene in the film !! :)

Oorvashi and MS Bhaskar were the stand out for me with their unique timing and emotions !!

K Balachander and  Andrea did their jobs well !!

Pooja Kumar -- Sathyama mudiyala !! Glamour sense High but acting very low !!

Technical Brilliance :
Cinematography , Editing, Music and BGM all were very good :) :) Class :) :)

Rating -- 2.5/5 !! Straight ah single part of story only eduthu irrunthu nalla irrunthu irrukum - my feeling !!

If you are not a die hard kamal fan ...think before you book tickets !! Illati experience might not be good !!
