Happy New Year --- Movie Review (Hindi)

Note : Before reading reviews or going to watch movies of SRK, Salman Khan or Hrithik Roshan...you must forget the word LOGIC !! if you cant....don't go or read reviews !!

Happy New year ----> Big Budget typical Bollywood commercial (to an extend Masala) film !!

And going to SRK, Salman Khan or even Hrithik Roshan film and expecting the logic is complete SIN...!!

So why do we go for their films ?? Just for the entertainment !! :)

So that entertainment is there in this one ....some will mokka but most will make you laugh !!

Story, Screenplay and Direction ---> Discuss pannura aalavukku onnum illa !!

Especially Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone sequence really come out well...and SRK and Boman Irani just shows their dialogue timing skills once again:)

Rating --- 2.75/5 !! If you want some entertainment and if you like SRK ..don't miss this one !! 

2014 Diwali Tamil Movies --- > Which one to Watch ?? Kaththi or Poojai ?? Just my view :) :)

Poojai ---> Just same old Hari Template...nothing new but what is missing the emotional content between the characters ( Hari's Strong point ) and the romance scenes which are complete insane !!

Plus :

Shruti Hasan - Sema hot and full Gumtah ;)
Vishal Acting.

Minus :

Padam itself big minus .
Shruti Hasan diction sathyama mudiyala..it was irritating to the core.
Hari's very very weak story and screenplay.
Soori's mokka comedy.


Overall ----> Better stay away from this one unless you are a die die die hard of commercial action films !! illati please miss this out !!



Kaththi ----> Average first 30 to 45 mins but after that film scores because of the social message, the emotional content and very cool Vijay Acting :)

You can watch the film alone for its sensible dialogues, the Wonderful BGM and songs and class cinematography :)

Dialogues
Vijay Screen presence
Anirudh Songs and BGM
Cinematography.

Minus:

Samantha BUN presence.
First 30 to 45 mins.

Overall ----> Just watch for ARM dialogues and his filmmaking and for Vijay cool acting in the latter part :)

So its Officially KATHTHI diwali ....Poojai side pogathinga ...sethuruvinga !!

Kaththi --- Movie Review (Tamil)

‎Kaththi‬ ----> Intense emotional social drama and a mass flick  

Story, Screenplay, dialogues and Direction -- > Apart from first 30 mins , the film picks up the speed and dialogues are razor sharp ...u can just watch for dialogues alone  

A R Murgadoss --> Big Kudos for bringing out this content  Dialogues ku periya hats off !!

Vijay --- > Apart from initial part of film for around 45 mins, Vijay gets into his groove and his mass elements and screen presence are perfect!

Cinematography and Music ----> World class  Anirudh BGM Vera level 

Rating -- 3.5/5 !! Emotional and social connect makes its a must watch film even for a Vijay haters !!

P.S -- please don't compare Kaththi with Thuppaki !! Both are different genre !!

Poojai -- Movie Review (Tamil)

(FYI or FYR : My view -- There are five categories of film 

(i) Class or Classic film
(ii) Sema or Worth padam
(iii) Okayish padam
(iv) Mokka padam
(v) Mayiru padam)

Poojai ----->  Since its a Deepavali eve and auspicious day... no bad words will be used !! and this film easily comes under the fifth category ;) ;)

First scene action, Second scene romance , Third scene song and finally a sentiment Scene !! This process repeats throughout the whole film !! 

Story ,screenplay direction ---> just copied all his previous movies aaru,  Thambirabarani and Vel stirred it and mixed well !!

Vishal and Soori ---> Somewhat okayish Performace !! Comedy ellam namba onnum sollura mathiri illa !! atukkum sila peru sirikkuranga !!

Shruthi hasan ---> Nadippu sagikala...Full karumam ...but glamour full gumtah ;)

Yuvan bhai still in anjaan bhai mode !!

Even somebody free ah koputa koda... pakka vendam ..be safe !! 

Rating - 1.5/5 !! Poojai has made perfect and clear way for kaththi  !!!

Manam --- Movie Review ( Telugu)

Manam -----> Great Concept + Good execution results in well tried experimental film :) :)

Though its a fiction story...that FEEL which the director want to convey was evident all throughout the film :) :)

Nagarjuna was the show stealer again...:) Just his charm and his underplay of the character bodes well for the film....!!

Samantha at most times it was overacting and irritating !! Remaining characters were apt for the film !!

Music, cinematography and Editing ---- Nice BGM and well placed songs ,(apart from one song in the pub) with neat cinematography and editing :)

Rating - 3.5/5 !! Just watch for the FEEL GOOD factor and for its theme :) 

How Old Are You -- Movie Review ( Malayalam)

How Old Are You -----> Beautiful film :) Surely in the league of my classic film list :) :) Very much needed Social Awareness told in a very casual and easy way without any complications :) :)

Most people may have the fell of English Vinglish but where it scores more than English Vinglish is in the social awareness part !! Hats off to the director to bring that social awareness element in it :)

Rating - 3.75/5 !! I rate it bit higher than English Vinglish just for that wonderful social awareness part :) :) Must must Watch for all!!

Gone Girl --- Movie Review (English)

Gone Girl -----> Suspense thriller genre !!

Story hint --- What extent a women can go... if she doesn't have a life what she wants ??

Some extra ordinary performance and one of the finest thriller films i have seen !! :)

Rating - 4/5 !! Just for the storytelling and filmmaking .!! Must see for the regular Hollywood moviegoers !!

Bangalore Days --- Movie Review (Malayalam)

Bangalore Days -------> Fell good beautiful film with a fresh concept :)

Story, Screenplay and Direction -----> Even though it has a little predictable Screenplay ..the story looks pleasant in the screen and it doesn't bore you without any unnecessary songs (Runtime of the film is close to 3 hrs) :) :)

Casting and Acting -----> Wonderful and delightful casting ...Each lead actors were showing their acting and emoting skills to the different level !! :)

If you are the fan of multicasted fell good films ...don't miss this one :)

Rating - 3.5/5 !! Watch for its fresh concept and feel good factor :) :)

Yaan --- Movie Review (Tamil)

Yaan ---> According to me, there are five types of film (padam) categories :

(i) Class or Classic film
(ii) Sema or Worth padam
(iii) Okayish padam
(iv) Mokka padam
(v) Mayiru padam

This Yaan captures the fifth place very easily and comfortably !! One of the kiddish movies i have seen !! Climax ellam vera level thinking ..huge respect :P :P

Just an example : Jail la hero irrukan ...heroine other side ...glass is in between them ...glass la rendu perum lip to lip ...Kadavulae !!

Intha padathu detailed review pannura thakuthi ellam yennaku illa !! So lets finish it with this !!

Rating -- 1.5/5 !! If Anjaan is Mayiran....then Yaan is periya Mayiran...!!

Poojai --- Trailer review (Tamil)

Weak Hearted, Pregnant ladies and Children please stay away- Its Poojai Trailer here!!

Poojai -----> I think Vishal has learnt basketball in this film...He just lifts and rotates likes basketball all the rowdies and the heroine in the film -- very Assault !! :P :P

Just Non-Stop Noise pollution and 2mins and 14 sec of Non-Stop torture !! Trailer aayae oru padam pakkura effect irruku :D :D

Final Punch :

Vishal in trailer : Naa varan da...!!

Me : Nee vara vendam da ...kenju kekkuran please :D :D 

Haider -- Movie Review (Hindi)

Haider ---> One of the brilliant filmmaking I have seen and truthful adoption from Shakespeare's "Hamlet" plus his own creativity from Vishal Bhardwaj :)

Director Vishal Bhardwaj --->Hats off for his creativity  :) Huge respect !!

Neat Performance from all characters ..but special mention to Shahid Kapoor (No doubt his best performance till date ) Tabu and KayKay Menon for their awestruck performance :)

Music Cinematography and Editing ---> Brilliantly captured with lovely BGM without any  unnecessary songs :)

One of the best editing I have seen in recent years with complete poetic natural flow :)

Rating - 4/5 !! Must must immediate watch !!If you are the good cinema lover and u miss this ..then it's a huge sin :) :)

P.S -- Commercial movie lovers stay away !!

Bang Bang -- Movie Review (Hindi)

Bang Bang ----> Tha ROFLMAX & ATROCITY MAX 

10 times Anjaan effect :P :P

Hereafter please especially North Indian people don't make fun of South Indian movies !! If u want to make fun just think of Jai Ho and Bang Bang !!:P :P

First 30 to 40 mins somewhat bearable ...but after that film gets very serious and for us the laughing therapy will be started :P :P

Climax mattum sirichae vayiru valichu sethuralam :D :D ( Climax itself you will laugh and die because of stomach ache caused by laughing :P :P :D :D )

Rating - 1/5 !! Just For Hrithik abs and Katrina kaif bikini show ;) ;)

Poojai --- Music Review (Tamil)

Poojai --->  On the auspicious Ayudhu Poojai day thought of listening to Poojai Songs only because of Yuvan music in it ...but was completely disappointed !!

Just same the old Hari film template of 1 intro song, 2 melody, 1 slow emotion song and 1 fast song. Since it is Hari film, Yuvan also thought itseems nambalum namba old template follow pannalam nu mudivu panni  he copied all his old songs !! 

Rating - 1.5/5 !! Very average commerical album ..might be hit in B and C centres!!  

Burma -- Tamil Movie Review

Burma ------> A neat and fast paced thriller with the dose of comedy in it !!

Story and Screenplay -- > Superb realistic concept :)

Maybe Screenplay little predictable at very few places but still you will be engaged and entertained throughout the film without any unwanted disturbances likes songs or scenes ( film run time is just 1.5 hrs and i felt director could have avoided the final song)!!

Casting and acting ----> Stand out for me was Sampath !! Maybe very few scenes but just his stature and dialogue delivery steals the show !! Superb actor !!

Remaining character did their job without overacting !!

Music, Cinematography and Editing -- > Simple and perfect for the script :)

Rating - 3.25/5 !! Great debut by the director ...!! Must watch for the good cinema lovers :)
